CRM Analyst (Contract)

CMG Partners is seeking a CRM Analyst to join our client’s marketing team. The role will be responsible for management of the contact database.

CRM Analyst is a hands-on marketing role where you will be required to work across two CRM systems: SAP & Microsoft Dynamics. Familiarity with both systems is essential, as is the ability to understand their ability to integrate with other marketing technology, including, but not limited to, HubSpot, Cvent, Meltwater, and a Learning Management System.

  • Location: Charlotte
  • Start date: January 2019
  • Onsite time with client: 5 days / 40 hours per week
  • Duration: 3-6 months, with potential for extension

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize & implement a CRM roadmap
  • Perform business analysis for internal stakeholders, and translate into CRM strategy & execution that align with overall marketing strategy
  • Contact database hygiene & cleansing: strategize & execute methods for data accuracy & validation of existing contacts
  • Contact data enrichment: strategize & execute methods to enrich preferences & information for existing contacts
  • List management, segmentation, and generation
  • Develop end-user guides, how-to instructions for processes, use cases, and solution documents
  • Provide day-to-day support for internal stakeholders

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics & SAP preferred)
  • Experience leveraging & building a customer database
  • Knowledge of CRM best practices
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation (HubSpot preferred)
  • Technical abilities to manage & interpret CRM data
  • Experience mining large volume of customer data
  • Rigorous attention to detail & ability to derive customer insights that inform strategy
  • Ability to collaborate across teams with finesse through quick ramp-up inside client culture
  • Ability to serve client team members above self and keep them fully updated on progress through project management skills
  • Experience presenting to senior executives and distilling complex concepts into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills, time management, and analytical skills


  • A combination of qualitative & analytical marketing expertise
  • Experience working in, or advanced knowledge of, the energy industry
  • Experience working within large organizations and interfacing with multiple departments & stakeholders
