Marketing Manager (Contract)

This project role is responsible for supporting Marketing Planning and Go-to-Market (GTM) execution in acquisition marketing for our Fortune 500 client.

This role is an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced environment that requires a “customer-first” orientation to succeed.  The ideal candidate for this role is a hands-on marketer with experience in customer acquisition marketing in the areas of GTM and marketing communications, as well as an experienced marketing program manager who is highly organized and an effective communicator.  Further, experience in the consumer segment within the cable or telecom industries and experience supporting direct sales teams are preferred.  


This role includes both planning and execution components:

  • Planning: campaign planning including marketing mix, sales channel requirements, campaign goal and objective setting, Marketing budgeting, and internal communications and approvals.
  • Execution: sales channel support, creative briefs and agency presentations, management of creative reviews and approvals, production, campaign launch, and launch measurement.

Key competencies and skills

  • BA/BS in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field.
  • Minimum ten years of experience in acquisition marketing, marketing communications, and marketing program management.
  • A track record for developing and executing successful acquisition marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in supporting marketing content development, including media, direct response, digital and sales support (e.g. collateral, event materials).
  • A confident, creative professional with the ability to influence and build credibility upward, downward and laterally in cross-functional environments, including support of sales organizations.
  • Strong, polished verbal communication skills and excellent writing, editing and presentation development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce effective deliverables that meet or exceed goals within tight deadlines.
  • Comfort supporting ad hoc requests with tight deadlines, prioritizing incoming requests, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with and affinity for using a broad range of vehicles, customer touchpoints, and strategies.
  • Cable and telecom industry experience is preferred.
  • Agency experience is a plus.
