Digital Project Manager (Contract)

This role will serve as Digital Project Manager for multiple teams at our client in the higher education space.  The ideal candidate will have solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.

  • Location: Herndon, Virginia
  • Start date: immediate
  • Onsite time with client: 5 days / 40 hours per week
  • Duration: 4 months

Responsibilities:

  • Establish Web project scope by studying business drivers; discovering and validating business and technical requirements and parameters; and obtaining input from subject-matter experts. 
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques; meets cost standards by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving actions
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Own estimation, budget and development forecasting and outward coordination and communication on behalf of your teams
  • Facilitate team meetings and Scrum cermonies
  • Build team cohesion; foster open and honest team communication within and outside of the team
  • Coach clients and teams on story slicing and backlog management
  • Provides project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Manage key conversion points in the marketing funnel, including landing pages, website calls-to-action (CTAs), and lead-generating forms
  • A/B test and measure the performance of these conversion assets.
  • Optimize marketing’s conversion paths and rates overall and drive marketing-qualified leads for our sales team
  • Optimize the lead-to-customer conversion rate and increase funnel marketing efficiencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management in an Agency or client environment, with minimum 1 year experience as a dedicated Scrum Master or Product Owner
  • Past experience with web analytics, A/B testing, and inbound marketing tactics
  • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through testing and optimization
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
  • Deep tool box of estimation, story slicing, retrospective, and other Agile techniques; deep understanding of the purpose for each Scrum event: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Strong organizational and client management skills
  • Experience with the use and configuration of one or more Agile development management tools, such as Jira or VersionOne
  • Ability to productively converse with business stakeholders and developers alike
  • Experience with other Agile approaches and concepts, such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean
